Feeding Instructions

For the health and safety of the animal, please fully read the packaging and follow these steps carefully:

1. Preparation: Ensure all equipment is fully clean and sterile before use, preferably by soaking it in a pet-safe sterilising solution.

2. Mixing: Mix your chosen milk powder (such as Beaphar Lactol) as directed. Allow it to cool until it is strictly lukewarm (38°C or blood temperature).

3. Blunt Tip Method: Fill the blunt tip syringe with the prepared milk replacer. Gently press the plunger to ensure the liquid is flowing.

4. Support: Carefully wrap the animal in a towel. This provides them with comforting support, restrains flailing limbs, and absorbs any accidental spillages.

5. Feeding: Gently depress the plunger to squeeze a single bead of liquid onto the tip of the syringe, then touch it to the animal's tongue. This should mimic a nipple and trigger natural swallowing. If successful, continue slowly until the animal is content.

6. Tapered Tip Method (Alternative): If the blunt tip method does not work, fill the tapered tip syringe. Gently insert it into the side of the animal’s mouth (into the cheek) and release a few drops, allowing the animal time to naturally swallow.

7. Frequency: Be prepared to repeat this feeding process every 2–3 hours until the animal is strong enough to transition to feeding from a bottle.

Warning: DO NOT SQUEEZE THE SYRINGE HARD. Forcing liquid into the mouth too quickly can cause the animal to inhale fluid into their lungs, which can be fatal. ALWAYS FULLY READ THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE USE. For animal use only. Keep strictly out of reach of children.
